What a result produced by the Dream Team of Sara Dove, Esmeralda Beemsterboer, and Sophie Aeronwen at the iRacing 12hr of Sebring by VCO! The Screen To Speed Dream Team battled through early setbacks, fierce competition, and moments of drama to claim a hard-fought P3 in LMP2—their best result in endurance racing so far!
The race started with Sara facing adversity right off the start, getting spun around at the final corner before the green flag dropped. This left the team at the back of the LMP2 field by the end of Lap 1. However, she wasted no time carving through the field, making up sixth positions by the end of her first stint.
Esmeralda then took over as the team was in P3, showing impressive pace and consistency. Despite spending much of her stint running in P2, an unfortunate half-spin caused by an inattentive GT3 car cost the team valuable time. She still managed to bring the car back to P5, setting the team up for a strong second half of the race.
Back behind the wheel, Sara had a heart-stopping moment surviving a brake check from a GT3, but she stayed focused and climbed to P2 after a round of pit stops.
As the race headed into the evening, Sophie took over. A brief lapse in concentration led to a small crash into the barriers, forcing an unscheduled repair stop. Despite the setback, the team remained in P3, and Sophie responded in style—setting her fastest laps of the race.
With the final hours approaching, Sara jumped back in once more, to bring the car home. A flawless closing stint secured a well-earned P3 overall, marking the team's first podium in LMP2 at the Sebring 12 Hour—a milestone achievement for the Screen To Speed Dream Team!
